Opportunities abound for being involved in our local and international communities. We support several local charities such as Starting Right, Now (a charity to address teen homelessness in Tampa) and the CARD Center at USF (to help families with children who have autism related disorders).
As active Rotarians, we also provide opportunities for interaction with young people through Interact and Rotaract. We participate in a speech contest in the District for high school students, sponsor students to a week-long program titled Seminar For Tomorrows Leaders and engage students in some of our activities.
We also feed shut-ins by delivering Meals on Wheels—drivers are always needed.
During the holidays, we hold a Food Drive for Metropolitan Ministries, a Toy Drive for a Children’s Home, and ring bells for The Salvation Army.
Finally, being involved can mean a leadership role in our Club, helping to set the direction and goals for our various fund raising activities.
To learn more, come to a meeting on Thursday at noon (except for the first Thursday of the month) at the Centre Club at 123 S. Westshore Blvd., here in South Tampa!
